Alcohol found under possession of Atiqa Odho
Pakistani actress and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) central office-bearer Atiqa Odho was briefly detained on Saturday by Airport Security Force at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad for keeping two bottles of liquor.
Atiqa Odho was scheduled to travel to Karachi by PK-319, when Airport Security Forces searched her luggage, found two bottles of liquor, which is forbidden under the law.
However, Odho was set free after a couple of hours, with no action taken against her, when some unknown ‘strings’ were pulled.
It pains me to see what kind of democratic state it is, where a young boy of 20 is brutally killed by police force over an act of small theft, and a popular actress and politician is set free, with no legal action taken against her, for possessing alcohol. |

Kon Banega Meera Patti annoys fundamentalists
It is rather unbelievable to see Meera, the controversial drama queen, as coy and blushing bride in search of a life partner. The situation rather seems hilariously fake, when we think of Meera’s virginity test and rumors of her secret marriage to Atiq-ur-Rehman.
Call it a to-die-for-publicity-stunt or an effort to appear as a perfectly chaste goddess, whatever! But Kon Banega Meera Patti has certainly raised issues among a section of hardliners in the country.
While Geo TV has not received any official protest yet, but many feel that sustaining the so-called husband hunt show till its end could be difficult. Besides, the show has also received nasty comments about the actress and her 13 prospects online.
According to an inside source, all the 13 contestants are actually struggling artist and they get between Rs. 2500 – 5000 per episode of the show and Meera’s boyfriend, who is one of the executives on the Geo TV, is actually the producer of the show |

Artists Confirmed For Coke Studio India
For the very first season of Coke Studio set to air on at MTV in India, 12 artists have been confirmed up till now.
People are eager to know the inside story of first season of Indian Coke Studio that has already created so much enthusiasm in people. Among the artists set to sing at Coke Studio on MTV India the so far confirmed are Shafqat Amanat Ali, who will begin the season with his “Akhiyan”, Advaita, Papon (from Assam), Sanjeev T & KK, Shruti Pathak, Wadali Bros, Shankar Mahadevan, Sabri Bros, Shaan, Kailash Kher and the Raghu Dixit.
Pakistani Coke Studio season 4 included the Indian singer Rabi Shergill and now Indian Coke Studio will feature Pakistani musician like Shafqat Amanat Ali. |
